FED: Pilot killed in Afghanistan was 45-year-old from Adelaide

Foreign Minister ALEXANDER DOWNER's office says an Australian helicopter pilot killed
in Afghanistan was from Adelaide.

The man's identity hasn't been released, but a Foreign Affairs Department spokesman
says he was a 45-year-old civilian.

His family in Adelaide has been informed of his death.
