Vic: Campbell demoted, other changes in ministry
MELBOURNE, Feb 11 AAP - Victorian Premier Steve Bracks today announced major changesto his ministry, including the demotion of two underperforming ministers, ahead of a possiblestate election this year.
Embattled minister Christine Campbell loses her controversial portfolio of communityservices to undertake the lower profile role of minister for consumer affairs and seniorVictorians.
She will be replaced by Bronwyn Pike.
Industrial Relations Minister Monica Gould loses her job to ministry newcomer JohnLenders, who also takes on the finance portfolio from Lynn Kosky.
Ms Kosky has been given a new education super portfolio after Mary Delahunty requesteda changed role following the death of her husband Jock Rankin last month.
She has assumed the planning portfolio from Deputy Premier John Thwaites who will nowconcentrate solely on health.
Ms Delahunty retains arts and women's affairs.
Ms Gould is to be given the junior portfolio of education services and youth affairs.
